- Local, national and virtual networking and collaboration opportunities abound. WISE brings members together to advocate on occupational safety and health (OSH) issues specific to women in the workplace.
- The Greater San Jose Chapter is home to the California Region for WISE Mentoring under the advisory of Society Leader Louise Valle.
- We offer education opportunities that members can immediately put into practice, as well as leadership opportunities to help our members develop to their fullest professional potential
- With approximately 3,000 members at the national level, ASSP WISE provides a vast and supportive community for networking, collaboration and change-making.
Why It Matters
The Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) industry and its leadership should reflect the diversity of the various businesses and employees it represents. Workers tend to engage more with safety initiatives led by individuals they can relate to and trust. A diverse cadre of safety professionals is key to achieving this. Additionally, women have significantly contributed to the safety field, and it’s crucial to secure opportunities for more female-driven initiatives going forward.
