Tour Event Details:
Join us for an engaging onsite tour exploring key research and operational areas at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. This tour will highlight the critical role of safety in advancing sustainability initiatives related to our groundwater treatment systems and our cutting-edge FLEXLAB facility that rotates with the sun for optimized solar energy research and energy conversion. Please plan to arrive no later than 9:30 am so there’s time to find parking and/or catch a shuttle to the appropriate building. We will start promptly at 10:00 am.

About the Host:
Hoanhni Nguyen, pronounced Honnie, is currently the Facilities Safety Specialist for the Environmental Health and Safety Division, matrixed to support the Facilities Division at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab. She started her career as an Environmental Health and Safety Intern at an electronics recycling facility while attending Sacramento State University for a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety. After obtaining her degree, she was hired on to be the Environmental Health and Safety Supervisor for the recycling facility. From there, she moved onto other roles, including Cal/OSHA’s Associate Safety Engineer and UC Berkeley’s Facilities Safety Specialist. She earned her Certified Safety Professional certification in July 2023.
