About the Talk
Wellness Tools for the Trades is an interactive and exploratory workshop designed for tradespeople to learn tools to live healthier lives. The workshop explores multiple topics: mental health first aid, stress management, mindfulness, yoga and nutrition as well as an all level yoga class. The class set up and design is fostered for all participants to be able to share, and participate in a supportive and encouraging environment.

About the Presenter:
Sarah has spent her career working in youth development with a focus on wellness and coaching for the United States Olympic Committee, the YMCA, Brown Girl Surf and five different schools around the country. She was the founding director of mindfulness and wellness at Caliber ChangeMakers Academy in Vallejo and served as the Senior Program Director at SquashDrive, and in all capacities has been inspired by the impact of physical and mental well-being. Her career transition brings her to the executive recruiting world as a Business Development representative with Lauren Jillian Search and Consulting. A veteran educator, Sarah is a certified Mental Health First Aid Instructor, a 200-hour yoga instructor, mindfulness coach and trained in ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills). An avid surfer, Sarah has surfed the California Coast, Hawaii, Nicaragua and Tofino British Columbia.
