Join Us for OSHA Safe + Sound Week | August 10–16, 2026 | “SEE IT, SAY IT, FIX IT”

Dear ASSP Chapter Members,

We are reaching out to invite you to participate in OSHA Safe + Sound Week 2026, a nationwide campaign taking place August 10–16 that focuses on proactive workplace safety and health programs across all sectors.

Why This Matters

Every year, 2.8 million workplace injuries and illnesses occur in the United States, costing employers $167 billion annually. Research shows that organizations with proactive safety programs experience 52% fewer incidents. This week is our opportunity to make safety visible, actionable, and practical for every workplace we serve.

This Year’s Theme: “SEE IT, SAY IT, FIX IT”

Safe + Sound Week is built on three core pillars:

  • Management Leadership – Visible commitment from leaders at every level
  • Worker Participation – Amplifying frontline voices and observations
  • Find & Fix Hazards – Proactive identification and rapid remediation before incidents occur

What We’re Planning

Our chapter committee has designed various engaging activities during the week, including educational sessions, daily email communication for the reminders about hands-on practice activities, and encourage employee participation.

How You Can Participate

  • Attend our scheduled events (detailed agenda coming soon)
  • Share your safety observations and near-miss experiences
  • Submit one practical takeaway back to your workplace
  • Help us spread the word within your organization

This campaign is free and open to all workplaces and sectors. OSHA provides a complete toolkit with resources, templates, and activity ideas that you can use in your own organizations.
