Building Momentum: Upcoming Changes and Continued Success at the Greater San Jose Chapter of ASSP

The Greater San Jose Chapter of the ASSP continues to demonstrate strong leadership, innovation, and member‑driven progress as we move forward in 2026. Over the past year, the chapter has focused on strengthening governance, expanding engagement opportunities, and modernizing how we connect with our members—efforts that position us well for sustained success.

As part of these continued improvements, several exciting updates are being introduced to better serve our community. The chapter’s website is evolving to become a more dynamic resource hub, making it easier for members to stay informed and involved. A new WISE Mentoring section has been added, reinforcing the chapter’s commitment to professional development, inclusion, and global collaboration. Beginning this summer, mentoring applications will be streamlined through ASSP and integrated into a new review system, creating a more connected and accessible experience for participants across chapters.

In addition, a dedicated Advisory Group section now highlights the work of our chapter representatives and provides visibility into key initiatives under way. This space will also serve as a platform to announce upcoming meetings and invite member feedback, strengthening transparency and two‑way communication.

Recognizing the growing importance of well‑being in the profession, the chapter is also expanding its focus on psychological safety. New updates and resources aligned with ISO 14003 are being introduced to help inform, educate, and support members on this critical topic.

These updates build on a strong foundation of leadership. The chapter has successfully completed its recent elections and is proud to introduce a newly seated cabinet that will guide the organization through the coming years. This continuity and forward planning reflect the chapter’s resilience and commitment to accountability in leadership.

Looking ahead, members can also expect engaging opportunities to connect and learn together. Upcoming events will feature knowledge‑sharing across areas such as psychological safety and technical frameworks, along with social and networking experiences designed to strengthen relationships within our community.

The Greater San Jose Chapter’s success is the result of dedicated volunteers, engaged members, and a shared vision for progress. As we continue to evolve, we invite all members to stay connected, participate, and help shape the future of the chapter.
