PRO‑TEC Safety Consultants Inc. is currently accepting resumes for an Owner’s Field Safety Representative to support construction oversight on the BART Silicon Valley Phase II Project. This position represents the Owner’s interests in the field and focuses on safety oversight, compliance monitoring, and documentation on a large‑scale heavy civil transit project.
Duration: Minimum 6‑month assignment (with potential for additional duration based on project needs and performance)
Position Overview
The Field Safety Representative serves as an on‑site safety oversight professional, observing contractor activities and verifying compliance with project safety requirements, regulatory standards, and Owner expectations. This position is strictly an oversight role and does not direct contractor means or methods.
Minimum Qualifications
· Minimum 5 years of heavy civil construction experience, preferably on large infrastructure or transportation projects
· STSC or CHST certification required
· Strong written communication skills, including safety observations, reports, and formal correspondence
· Ability to work professionally and independently with contractors, inspectors, and Owner representatives
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
