Mental health is a rising public health concern, with growing significance in occupational health settings. This webinar will cover the current state of worker mental health and examine its impact at both the individual and organizational levels. A case exemplar will be included to illustrate the urgency of this issue in real-world work environments. The presentation will conclude with examples of existing programs to support the mental health and wellbeing of workers and a call to action for current and future occupational health professionals.
Dr. Rosemberg is an Associate Professor and Director of the Occupational Health Nursing Program at the University of Michigan School of Nursing. She is a leading nurse scientist specializing in occupational and environmental health. Her research focuses on addressing gaps in practice, policy, and research related to occupational health disparities. Specifically, she aims to reduce the impact of multi-level factors—such as interpersonal, organizational, and systemic influences—that negatively affect the health of marginalized workers. Her goal is to remediate associated physiological, behavioral, and outcome-related issues.
