Please join us at the October 9th Chapter Meeting where recently retired safety professional, Mr. Paul Burnett, will help us understand how to effectively execute Safety Training in Research & Development environments. Paul will share his expertise on the following:

Presenter: Paul Burnett
Mr. Paul Burnett recently retired after 15 years at Santa Clara Valley Water District as Safety Program Administrator. Paul has contributed to several Cal/OSHA publications (Confined Space, Hazard Communication, others) and websites (primarily Cal/OSHA Safety & Health Training and Instruction Requirements, Lockout eTool, others). He is a Lifetime Member of the Bay Area Environmental Safety Group (BAESG), and he founded the BAESG website in 1996. Paul was awarded “Safety Professional of the Year” by the Safety Center in Sacramento in 2008. Paul has served as the Safety & Occupational Health Manager and Safety Inspector for Federal agencies in Washington DC area. He is the former Chairman of the Washington DC Federal Safety & Health Council, and former member of the National Capital Chapter of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP – formerly ASSE).
