Overview

Heat illness continues to be a serious concern for businesses that have employees working in environments with high air temperatures, radiant heat sources, high humidity, and strenuous physical activities. Heat-related illnesses can cause serious health problems and in some cases, lead to death.

About the Presenter:
Ashli Sturgill is a Safety and Health Manager with Zenith Insurance Company. With over 29 years of experience, Ashli has held positions of varying capacities, primarily in the agricultural industry. Prior to coming to Zenith, she was the Safety Manager for a large berry grower. Ashli holds a Bachelor and Master of Science in Occupational Safety and Health. She is a Board Certified Safety Professional and holds an Agribusiness and Farm Insurance Specialist certification and a certificate in Agricultural Human Resources Management. Currently Ashli serves as the Past President for the San Jose Chapter of the American Society of Safety Professionals.
